The advantage of online conferences is that they can be accessible without lenghty travels and absences from home… their disadvantage is that they are, well, online, and the whole part about impromptu discussions over coffee is missing. Nevertheless Sebastien participated at two conferences recently, the Fall Meeting of the ACS, and the annual meeting of the UK-based Recent Appointees in Polymer Sciences (RAPS). Both were occasions to showcase our work, catch up with old friends and meet new people. Hopefully next year conferences get back to in-person participation to make the most of these opportunities!
